The Greene County bowling teams hosted Dowling Catholic last Tuesday, the boys varsity and junior varsity teams picking up wins with the girls narrowly missing their first victory of the season.
“The girls won the baker’s format. The boys did awesome,” commented coach John Woodford. “We need to make spares an important process in baker’s format.”
The girls team was led by Ava Schilling with a high game of 133, totaling 228 for the night. Lane Fields led the boys team with a high game of 237, total score 415. Chase Fecher was second on the team, bowling a high score of 225 with a total score of 404, Carter Fecher close behind with a high score of 228, a total of 399. Rylan Larsen took the lead on the junior varsity team, bowling a total of 295, with Jack Hansen totaling 289 and Jordan Cerwick 270.
In the baker’s rounds, the Ram girls had a total of 577 while Dowling Catholic had 483 points, but the difference came from individual scores, with the Rams totaling 966 and Downing Catholic 1137, Rams falling by only 77 points.
The varsity boys had 1905 points from individual games, with 848 in the bakers rounds, beating Dowling Catholic by 229 points. The junior varsity boys finished with 1315 in the individual games and 591 in the bakers games, winning by 176 points.

The, team was scheduled to bowl again on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at B-Roll Bowling in Ankeny. The Rams will host Gilbert on Dec. 18.
